Students from Visual Communication Design Department at Birmingham institute of Fashion & Creative Art participated in “Nineteenth Shanghai International College Student Advertising Festival” co-organized by “Committee of Shanghai International College Student Advertising Festival”, “University of Shanghai”and “Association of Shanghai Advertising”, In this competition, 37 works of BIFCA were shortlisted and 45 BIFCA students won awards. 《A day of a tooth》 by Shirui Fu, Minyu Yin and Yumo Chen, 《Unharmed》by Yuting Wu won the Prize of Excellence.

This competition has a good international reputation and prestige in cultural creativity realm and it has a wide range of recognition and popularity among universities students across the country. This competition is following the guidance of “Committee of Communist Youth League Shanghai”, “Board of Education of Shanghai”and “Shanghai Administration for Market Regulation”. For the purpose of "discovering and cultivating talents"，Combining with the needs of the industry development, connecting the entire industry chain in the advertising realm and integrating Innovation and entrepreneurship into talents training. The outstanding works of the competition are also an important part of the construction of the national vocational education and expert teaching resources.
